Canterlot.

It was all so strange to Neveah, the age-old Alicorn had never seen anything like it. She was so used to the older times, where such a thing didn’t exist. The weird carts carrying ponies around by stallions, what seemed to be oddly shaped tubes with weird buttons on them, the houses… Everything seemed to be so different to the mare. But then again, why wouldn’t it be? It had been over a thousand years since she had last seen the light of day, and the only thing amazing that she remembered from her time were books. Oh yes, the library of her Empire filled with millions of them… Every single one amazing.

But yet, she didn’t have access to it now. Oh no, she was far from her home. As she continued down the streets of the city, ponies stopping to stare and look at her as she made her way towards the large castle. How did she know of the place? Well, it was simple. Scouring through the books of the Everfree Castle library, she had stumbled upon an old map, one for a design. It had been labeled Canterlot, and it only made sense that after noticing how the castle was there and the other destroyed, that whomever ruled this… Equestria, would have to be there. It only made sense, did it not?

Continuing to keep a bit of an eye on the ponies around her, she watched as they would bow as she walked past before they went on with their lives. Why was that so? A foreigner didn’t deserve such respect, even if she wore a crown. Not that she did at the time being, it was locked away within the Empire of her own. Neveah had never taken favor to it anyways, so what was the exact point of wearing it? After all, she was supposed to have returned after a short time. But, things had gone differently than according to her plans. Way different, taking a rather surprising turn.

Doing her best to keep her wings folded at her sides, seeing as they wanted to outstretch with instinct to indicate her royalty, the fact that she had finally been able to approach the castle was a bit of a true relief. She had never seen so many ponies before, and to say the least it was a little overwhelming. Such a large population, it made her wonder how one could rule such a vast and large land. It seemed as if the ruler wasn’t alone though, as it was already common knowledge that a few Alicorns lived among Equestrian society.

She however, would not end up with such a way. Unless duty called for her to stay within Equestrian borders, her stay would not end up being long. That was her plan, but seeing as how the first had failed she wondered how the other would go.

Approaching the gate, a somewhat serious face was put on. Mainly though, her expression was blank. She held herself with a high posture, looking at the guards before her. Their gazes seemed to inspect her, before they allowed her to pass. Still holding herself high, Neveah went onward to go meet with this… Princess. That was what felt odd to her, no Queen or King from her knowledge were whom controlled these lands. Did they not believe in having such as the highest title? That she did not know.

Passing another set of guards to actually enter in the castle, she was stopped by another guard. “Please wait here, your highness. I must inform Princess Celestia of your presence.” Princess Celestia? The name was tossed around inside her head a few times before finally deciding she would be able to remember it, which would prove to be rather important while discussing things with this… Celestia.

If there was one thing Princess Celestia disliked about being...Well, a princess, it was the meetings she would have to go though. It was something she had learned to put up with, but never something she had liked. While most nobles would be shocked at simply the idea, Princess Celestia enjoyed more fun then listening to the nobles complain about issues that weren't really issues to ponies other than for them. But she was a Princess, and that was a duty put on to her. At least in the Night Court that her sister ran, there was less ponies showing up because it was the middle of the night.

Princess Celestia was barely paying attention to complaint of the noble before her, even thought it wasn't that polite, as she had already heard this complaint so many times before in her reign. If there was one thing nobles could always do thought out the years, it was find an issue they did not like. However, her attention was caught when the door to the throne room opened up and a guard stepped in. He trotted briskly by the noble who stared at him with anger for dare walking in during her complaint, and up to the princess.

"Princess Celestia...There is a strange, unknown alicorn here in the castle. We are sure she wishes to speak to you."

She? A frown appeared on Princess Celestia's face, wondering who this 'strange alicorn' could be. If it had been a 'he' she would of expected it was Avan in seconds, but a female alicorn that was unknown? How strange...Of course, if it would get her out of this meeting, she would accept it. Besides, she was very curious to know who this stranger was. "Very well, send the alicorn in. Call off the rest of the Day Court until I meeting with the alicorn is done, alright?"

The guard nodded and trotted back out the door to deliver the order, and Celestia stared at the noble who opened her mouth to go back on with what she was saying, but was silence as Celestia waved her hoof at her. "I am afraid a very important and unexpected guest has arrived, so I am afraid I must cut you short."

A sharp blush spread across the noble's face as she stuttered, almost seeming to not accept the fact that she was being cut off by the Princess herself. "More important then me? How can that be, Princess? I assure you that there is nopony that by any means are more important then me!"

A small frown appeared on Celestia's face, before she waved the noble off. "And I assure you that they are indeed more important and acquire my attention at soon as possible. You may come back tomorrow and pose your issue, but now I must ask you to leave. Now."

The noble turned with a huff and stormed out the palace doors, causing Celestia to sigh as she leaned back in her throne. Hopefully whoever this alicorn was, she was more exciting to talk to than the nobles of Canterlot were.

An eye landed squarely upon the strangely dressed mare coming from what she presumed to be the throne room, her eyebrow metaphorically rising as she saw the look of disgust coming from the pony. Much less, she only looked at the rather annoyed mare with a questioning look as they stormed by. ”I wonder if I had done something wrong?” The question couldn’t help but be tossed about within her mind as she analyzed the gaze the mare had worn.

Turning her attention to the guard who had reappeared, it wasn’t long before she could hear the spread of wildfire that she would be given an exception to meet with the Princess. ”It seems Equestria is rather large, then.” Again, another thought just tossed around. Perhaps she could strike an allyship with Equestria when it she was crowned and it was her turn to reign, when her duties were to be put before her?

“You may go in.”

She didn’t need to be told twice, she had been given clearance to enter. “Thou sends thanks.” Her voice seemed much more calm then she actually was feeling, and silently she prayed that it would be kept as such throughout the meeting. She was a foreigner, and so much more.

Once the doors had swung open, about a moment later she walked into the throne room. It was rather a long hall, but yet she could see why. Seeing the other alicorn herself sitting upon her throne, almost instinctively as she started coming closer Neveah kept the ‘royal posture’ she had been forced to learn all of her childhood.

“Greetings to thee, Princess Celestia. Thou does hope thine arrival did not cause any major interruptions?”

Her nerves were going everywhere at the moment. But, she still tried with all her might to keep herself as collected as possible. She couldn’t refrain from somewhat making a notion to the rather upset mare whom had charged out right before her entrance, and if that had been so then she would depart in case it was actually an important manor.

“Thou has a rather long story to tell, is it of thine’s interest to here all of thou’s story or that of short? Thou wishes not to keep thy from thine’s duties.”

As the strange beige alicorn stepped in, Celestia raised an eyebrow. So it was indeed another alicorn, and one that seemed so different from Avan. However, what quickly amused Celestia was when the alicorn spoke in what was no different than the Royal Canterlot Voice. A little old fashion, but Luna would like it. But, Celestia might as well humor the strange alicorn. "None that art worth notice," she said with a soft smile. "Do not be worry of thou's duties, thou hast a feeling time is on our side," she noted, taking notice of the mare's cutie mark. Time, huh? She suppose somepony would have to keep balance in that as well... "Thou would adore the pleasure of hearing thee story...However, thou sees that you art aware of thine-own name, but we art unaware of thou's. May we have that, before thee beings the story? After that, tell thee's story."

Well, it seemed that she certainly had the alicorn's attention. Which was good, and she couldn't help but inwardly chuckle at the comment about time. Of course, that was one thing she had to her advantage, somewhat.

Her own name? Oh, right. How could she have forgotten?

"Thou art Princess Neveah." Her title from birth was much more then that, Princess Neveah, Heiress of the Ilkhanate Empire. That was the one part she didn't like. Once her parents stepped down from the throne it would be her responsibility to rule the lands that her father had claimed.

Drawing in a deep breath, she gave a brief warning that it would be long before daring to begin.

"Thou hath been sent more then 1000 years ago, to thy lands thou art walking amungst now. Thou were sent by King Mortis and Queen Tao to find thine's son, Prince Avan. For with thee being close with Prince Avan's father, King Mortis, thou were trusted with this task. News had been given that Prince Avan's spirit had twisted, and so it was of Queen Tao and King Mortis' interests to send one close to thine family to see that Prince Avan was alright. Having little to no knowledge upon Avan's whereabouts, thou tried thy's best to hopefully find Prince Avan.

Having landed upon what thou thought to be thine correct lands, which shalt be known it is that of Equestria, thou hadn't had much time to attempt and find Prince Avan before shamefully being inprisoned in stone for near one-thousand years. Thou hath just now escaped thine's stone prison, and thou still art confused as to how it truly happened. Memories only tell of a strange creature staring at thyself before such a thing happened, thou having seemingly to be trapped within the Everfree Forest caves, if thou's memory serves thine correctly.

Yet now, thou art still on thine's quest to find Prince Avan. Does thou by chance knoweth if he shalt be within these lands, or if thou shalt be within the wrong place? Thou art determined not to disappoint Prince Avan's parents, or thou's friend King Mortis. Thou may hath been imprisoned for many years, but thou hath given an oath to find him."

As she listened, her ears perked up at the names King Mortis and Queen Tao...Then the mention of Avan being their child. Never had Avan spoke a word about his parents, not their name, what they did, or even if they were alive. She suppose he did it out of respect to her and her siblings, as they had lost their parents long before Avan came along. Of course, Celestia also easily guessed that this Princess Neveah had ran into a cockatrice much like Princess Twilight had once. "Thou sees," she stated once Neveah was finished with her story. "While thou knows little of this 'King Mortis and Queen Tao'...We do know of Prince Avan. He lived in our castle until this...Twisting of the spirit happened. We had lost touch, but in the last few weeks, we have come back into contact. While we can tell you where he is, thou must first warn thee that the corruption of Avan's spirit is still intact, although it has been subdued in some matter, but is known to lash out if need be. Thus, we must first state that if we art to tell you where Avan is, thou wilt promise to be careful when meeting him to hopefully not bring this 'twisted spirit' forward. We art, with the help of his housemate and dear friend, working on a solution to this and we cannot risk him losing control before hoof."

From what she understood, something was off. Had Tao come fourth and done something to Avan during her idle time? That was all that she could think of, as she doubted that Mortis would have. Listening to Celestia's words once more within her head, she took note of a few more things. "Thou shalt be careful, as thy's original quest was to bring back the Avan whom his parents knew. Thou shalt be willing to offer any information to thee in help as to resolve this side of Avan which has came back, as such thy hath some idea as to whom had held this side of him back before. Thou thanks thee greatly for helping." Although, by how things sounded, it seemed as if Celestia herself was trying to resolve this side of Avan. From what she had understood, Avan must have been friends with this royal family at some point... Could it be too that she was of some help to Celestia herself? That she did not know yet. But what she did know, was that the next time she went to meet with Mortis, if she ever did, a lot would have to be discussed.

A soft sigh escaped from Celestia, but she nodded her head. "Thou trusts thy's words, so thou shall tell thee of Prince Avan's location. Avan is staying in a town called Ponyville, which lies at a bottom of the mount and near the Everfree Forest, where thou was located in thou time in stone. I once again beg thou to be careful, Avan is dear to thou's heart." As she finished, she frowned softly hoping she had made the right choice in trusting this Nevaeh, but what choice did she had? Avan did need help...

"Princess Celestia, thou understands. Thou promises not to harm Prince Avan upon purpose, but if an accident shalt occur thou promises to correct thy's mistakes. Thou thanks thee for taking the time to speak with thou." Of course, time wasn't ever a struggle with Neveah... To be honest, she did take her powers for granted at some points, somewhat abusing them if it ever came to it. As much as it did put on some grave concequences, it was always fun to somewhat 'pause' time and walk through memories.

Turning slightly to leave, Neveah looked back at Celestia. "If thy shalt ever need thee for any purpose, thou shalt happily assist thee."
